Last day of 2011

I figured I would chronicle the last day of 2011, so here it goes. I woke up at 8:15 am PST to Ethan asking Holli to go to the bathroom.

Cooked pancakes and bacon for breakfast.

Went to Togos for lunch with the crew.

Mid day was full of craziness as we headed to Costco for stuff. Saturday's their is absolutely a mad house. I saw more liqueur rolling out of that place than a liqueur store. Peeps were about to get their drink on for 2012. OCR we got home, I helped get our goods out of the car and into the house. The kids were distracted by our neighbor kids so it made getting unpacked easy. Oh I forgot to mention that I was able to swing the sticks on the last day of 2011. I swung over to the local golf range to work out those 2011 bugs and get ready for the new season. The evening was garnished with heading over to the next door neighbors for food and good conversation. Holli and I really appreciate the warmth of people. It's so nice to have friends like the Fards! Our kids made s huge mess and we just let it fly because, well what the hell are u gonna do. Their just kids. I would have to say that I tried my homemade from scratch guacamole and nailed it again! Now I lay here in bed listening to the joys of people, fireworks, sirens, and probably gun shots, for 2012 has arrived on the west coast. I hope that the new year brings hope to those that have had a tough year and prosperity to those in search of opportunity. Always remember, GOD opens doors for a reason, its up to u to accept the offer! Good night.

A Christmas Eve note

I figured it wouldn't be right to not write a quick note to all those that have been following me for the last few days.

Here it is: "Merry Christmas to All, and To All a Good Night"

I've been summoned to do elf work around the house.

P.S.  Keep "Christ" in Christmas...It's the reason for the season.

Ski Day...A Fun Day!

Hello readers, I found the energy after hitting the slopes yesterday to enter into the bloggers-phere realm of possibilities.  Anyway, yesterday we loaded up the troops for a family day at Lost Trail.  The weather man was a day off on his prediction, but it worked out well, as the Montana Big Sky opened up and delivered 4" of soft flakes of goodness.

It was an extreme struggle to get everyone out the door, but as we proceeded to the hill, anxiety set in.  Remember we have a 3 year old that wants to everything and a 6 year old that's as fearless and skilled; however, we spend most, hold on all day on the bunny hill.  The morning session was a good one as we were trying to figure out the toe rope and the snow plow..all the things we did in Utah, only a year ago.  After an hour on the bunny slope, it was time for some hot cocoa with Grandma and for me to take a few runs on the big boy hill.

I found many fresh lines next to the trees and discovered that I'm pretty rusty.  Usually by now I've gone 2-3 times and the break in period was gone, but not this time around.  After lunch we cranked out a few more hours on the bunny slope, then it Holli and I took off with her family for 3 more runs on the day!

Lot's of fun, fustration, and excitement all in one day, enough to cause you ask yourself "why."  Why? Because who wouldn't.  I want my boys to experience more than I ever got too, and that means a lot!  I'm hoping to get one more time in before we head back to California...Snow flies next week... TBD, Chao.

Madison Creek...A Bitterroot Destiny

Today we (Holli, Adam, Jake & Ethan, and I) took a trip down Highway 93 to my brother-in-laws store in Stevensville, Montana, Madison Creek Furnishings.  It had been a while since I've been to the store and WOW, I'm amazed every time I walk in to see all the goodies Tim and Chad have to offer.

Once we walked in, Jake and Ethan were wondering what they could do, but soon enough they ran to the Jelly Belly section to put together a collage of jelly beans as a take home treat.  Holli meandered around identifying home goods that would look brighten up her home, and I was there to give her my approval.  Walking around the store, I always feel comfortable and always like looking at the new things that are offered.  From stylish couches, tables and chairs to candles, spices, and purses with flare.

Tim and Chad have a real niche in the valley, they are always so friendly and helpful to customers that enter their business.  My Mom would attest that this of all places is somewhere she would love to work at...I would too.

Just like their logo, Madison Creek Furnishings has something to offer someone, so if you are ever in the Bitterroot, give these guys a walk-in, you won't be disappointed.
